‘Nine Inch Noize’ marks the culmination of the long-standing collaboration between NINE INCH NAILS and BOYS NOIZE. Following a landmark performance during the first weekend of Coachella, the duo will release their joint album ‘Nine Inch Noize’ on 17 April via Interscope Records. They are set to return for a second appearance at the festival on 18 April.Speaking about the collaboration, Trent Reznor explains: “The creative fulfilment of working on the ‘Challengers’ and ‘TRON’ scores with BOYS NOIZE led me to think that including him in the ‘Peel It Back’ tour could be an interesting way to express NIN in more purely electronic terms live - a concept I’ve wanted to explore for some time. The result was so much fun for us we felt it was worth expanding and formalising in some way.
On a whim I mentioned it would be cool to play a whole set as ‘Nine Inch Noize’ in the Sahara tent at Coachella. Careful what you wish for… the next thing I knew we were designing a whole new show to present in the way it deserved.
There’s no surprise tour announcement - this Saturday is it. I’m taking Sunday off and excited to be working on new NINE INCH NAILS music Monday - I’ll see you when I come up for air. We recorded this album all over the place - some of it is live, some in studios, hotels, planes, etc. We had a lot of fun revisiting these songs and hope you enjoy. Listen loud.”
The album features newly reworked versions of NINE INCH NAILS material, including ‘Closer’ and ‘As Alive As You Need Me To Be’ - the GRAMMY®-winning track from ‘TRON: Ares (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)’ - alongside ‘Parasite’ from How to Destroy Angels.

The project follows a widely acclaimed live debut at Coachella, which critics hailed as one of the festival’s defining moments. With Mariqueen Maandig joining the live configuration, the performance delivered an immersive, high-intensity experience that underscored the project’s artistic ambition.
In 2025, NINE INCH NAILS were named “Live Act of the Year” by Consequence, having played to over 700,000 fans across Europe, the UK and North America on their Peel It Back Tour. The tour featured an innovative dual-stage concept, with a secondary B-stage placed within the audience, where BOYS NOIZE joined the band each night for a striking electronic interlude. Together, they reimagined NINE INCH NAILS tracks, selections from Reznor and Atticus Ross’ award-winning film scores, as well as material from ‘How to Destroy Angels’.
Founded in 1988 by Trent Reznor, NINE INCH NAILS are widely regarded as one of the most innovative and influential acts in modern music. Known for blending industrial, electronic, rock and ambient elements into emotionally raw and sonically aggressive compositions, the multi-GRAMMY®-winning band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020 and have sold over 20 million records worldwide.
Under their own names, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have also composed 20 film scores, earning numerous accolades including two Academy Awards, three Golden Globes, a GRAMMY® and an Emmy.
