Album Review

By the end of 2008, the band known as LOVEHATEHERO or LHH felt like it was time to step outside their boundaries they had created over time and start fresh. So fresh it took the band two years to unleash a whole new album entitled ‘America Underwater’. After building up a steady fan base with their first two releases (‘Just Breathe’ and ‘White Lies’), the band turned to another solution both lyrically and musically speaking.

Some of the tunes that tend to stand out most are ‘You'll Never Know’, ‘Echoes’, ‘Come and Get It’ and ‘Too Little, Too Late’; each of these alone sets the guidelines that LHH have faced and displays how the band has matured instrumentally and showcases the guitar’s craftsmanship at a much faster rate whereas the vocal chords entangle with the drums beating against the guitar’s soloing riffs. The music is impacted with fast heavy emotion that gets mixed and matched with their old material but involves a lot more meaning when infused with this newer style.

For this release, the band "matured as songwriters" and this was not just a cliché either. LHH now look on towards the future blasting headfirst into the next level with ‘America Underwater’ immediately followed by an endless touring routine to back it all up and spreading their sound to a series of new listeners.
