The Hooters - “45 Alive - 45th Anniversary Tour 2025”
In 2023, after some time without new songs, THE HOOTERS released the album ‘Rocking & Swing’ and toured it successfully in the following two summers. It takes us back to the band’s roots in the early 1980s. With their unique blend of Ska, Reggae, and Rock, recorded at the Keswick Theatre in November 2022, they hit the mark with their fans, especially thanks to the first-ever recording of some early songs they performed live at their early club concerts.
In 1983, they released their first independent album, ‘Amore’, which included one of their biggest hits, ‘All You Zombies’. By 1986, THE HOOTERS had already scored four hit singles and were touring almost nonstop. Relatively unknown a year earlier, the band was now sharing the stage with artists such as U2, THE POLICE, BRYAN ADAMS, LOU REED, and PETER GABRIEL. In 1987, THE HOOTERS released ‘One Way Home’, which featured the famous hit ‘Johnny B’ and the song ‘Satellite’. Further albums followed.
After numerous tours, THE HOOTERS decided to take a well-deserved break in 1995 and focus on various solo projects. Rob Hyman and Eric Bazilian lent their talents as musicians and songwriters to other artists, including MICK JAGGER, JOAN OSBORNE (‘One of Us’), JOHN BON JOVI, ROBBIE WILLIAMS (‘Old Before I Die’), and CYNDI LAUPER (‘Time After Time’). Starting in the early 2000s, with a newly expanded lin-eup, the band enjoyed great success, particularly in Europe, with numerous tours and releases. Since then, THE HOOTERS have regularly toured extensively.
