It was the sensation of 2021: With their sixteenth, self-titled album ‘Helloween’, the Hamburg Metal institution returned in a seven-member line-up and caused a global Metal earthquake. The album effortlessly topped the charts at #1 in Germany and Spain, achieved top 10 placements in 10 other countries, and was enthusiastically celebrated by fans and critics alike. In 2022 and 2023, the triumph continued live with 60 emotional concerts in 30 countries, leaving no wishes unfulfilled. Highlights included headlining the Wacken Open Air, shows in Los Angeles, New York, the Monsters of Rock festivals in South America, and the first sold-out gig at the legendary Budokan in Tokyo, where over 800,000 fans and the reunited band members shed rivers of sweat and tears of joy - relive it on the live CD and Blu-ray/DVD ‘Live at Budokan’, released on 13 December 2024.With these highlights in their luggage, HELLOWEEN are entering their anniversary year, celebrating 40 years of band and Metal history. While Andi Deris, Michael Kiske, Michael Weikath, Kai Hansen, Markus Grosskopf, Sascha Gerstner, and Dani Löble are intensively working on the follow-up to their sensational reunion album, they have simultaneously announced an Anniversary Tour of superlatives, as bassist and founding member Markus Grosskopf explains: “We have come up with some great surprises for the fans and will be playing brand new songs live for the first time, as well as some tracks from the band's history that haven't been heard live in a very long time. The shows will be a fantastic experience for all of us!”
Frontman Andi Deris adds: “The creative work in the studio is incredibly fun, and the album promises to be an absolute highlight - but nothing in the world compares to a HELLOWEEN concert: The energy of our audience is simply indescribable, and we can’t wait to finally go full throttle with the fans again. The live dates begin on 17 October 2025 in Luxembourg and will take HELLOWEEN across Europe for six weeks. In their flight cases, they will have not only the fresh material from their yet-untitled new long player but also the setlists of the successful metallers from BEAST IN BLACK: As “very special guests,” the Finns are another guarantee for an out-of-this-world metal party. In the first half of 2026, dates in Asia, South and North America are scheduled, before Germany’s number one Metal ambassadors will make it clear at the biggest festivals in Europe in the summer of 2026 that the “glorious seven” are still firing on all cylinders after 40 years!
