Machine Head - “Europe Summer 2025” - Support: The Halo Effect
Hailing from the West Coast, MACHINE HEAD is one of the most influential bands in the Metal scene. With their brute riffs and thunderous grooves, they played a key role in the emergence and shaping of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal in the early to mid-1990s. This four-piece band from California is renowned for its uncompromising, aggressive sound, skilfully combining elements of Thrash, Groove and Nu Metal.
With groundbreaking albums such as ‘Burn My Eyes’ (1994), ‘The Burning Red’ (1999), ‘Through the Ashes of Empires’ (2003) and the widely acclaimed ‘The Blackening’ (2007), MACHINE HEAD have repeatedly set new standards in modern metal. Each of these albums showcases a different facet of the band - sometimes raw and angry, sometimes experimental and atmospheric - yet the sound remains consistently powerful and unmistakable.
Since its formation, the band has been at the heart of the charismatic singer, guitarist and songwriter Robb Flynn, the only constant member to set MACHINE HEAD’s musical course. Despite numerous line-up changes and stylistic developments, he has managed to keep the band relevant and innovative.
In 2022, MACHINE HEAD released ‘Of Kingdom and Crown’, their tenth studio album - further proof of their ongoing creativity and ability to excite existing fans and attract new listeners alike.
In November 2024, MACHINE HEAD announced that their eleventh studio album would be released in April 2025. Three days later, they released the first single, ‘These Scars Won't Define Us’. In addition to Robb Flynn on vocals, the song features members of the bands IN FLAMES, LACUNA COIL, and UNEARTH. At the same time as announcing the album, MACHINE HEAD announced a North American tour for April and May 2025, with the aforementioned bands as support acts.
