Together they’re releasing the impressive single ‘Sing Like A Siren’, which is now available on all major music platforms. The soundtrack to our reality
‘Sing Like A Siren’ is not just a song - it is a cinematic sound storm that captures the emotions of our time. For JERRY HEIL, the song is “more than just music - it is the soundtrack to the movie we are living in.” This film focuses on two main characters: a girl and the element of water. But with every line, it becomes clear that the two are one. Man and nature, inseparably connected. The raging water becomes a metaphor for the challenges on the way to a safe haven. And the most important realization: We don’t have to fight nature - we are part of it. Maybe we are even the ones causing the storm.

Ukrainian roots, global impact
Musically, ‘Sing Like A Siren’ combines a wide variety of influences, from driving Rock to classical vocals to Ukrainian Folklore. The central motif of the song is a traditional Vesnjanka - a hypnotic spring song that flows like water, changing and returning. The song begins delicately, almost vulnerably on the piano, before the melody transforms into powerful vocals and folk elements. “These musical changes symbolize constant movement - the absence of stability or a safe haven,” explains Jerry. But with the return of the Vesnjanka at the end, a feeling emerges: spring. And with it, hope.
Shared vision, shared sound
For JERRY HEIL, working with WITHIN TEMPTATION is a dream come true: “I’ve been a fan of this band since I was a teenager - I never thought we’d be making music together one day.” The first contact was made at the Ukrainian music festival Atlas Weekend in Kiev, where both acts were performing. Jerry seized the opportunity and got the idea for a collaboration off the ground. “Sharon’s voice has an authentic power that fits perfectly with my artistic expression. I knew right away: this is going to be a wild fusion - rock, classical vocals, and Ukrainian folklore. And it works!”

But ‘Sing Like A Siren’ goes beyond music - it carries a political message. The song is also the soundtrack to the new WITHIN TEMPTATION documentary ‘The Invisible Force’, which documents their journey to Ukraine. It’s not just about observing, but about getting involved: the band is actively committed to supporting Ukrainian artists - and is taking some of them with them on their “Bleed Out 2024” tour.
