blackinternationalSpiralchords Music just inked a deal for Europe with this very talented band who're gonna release their official European debut album "In Debt"digitally and physically in April 2012. Black Internationalis a post punk-influenced group from Edinburgh, Scotland. The band was formed in late 2006 by Edinburgh College of Art graduates Stewart Allan (Vocals & Guitars) and Craig Peebles (Drums) with the intention of making stripped down, economical, brutal pop music.

"Aggressive, primitive, noisy, melodic, nervy... Like dirty broken glass", the duo once described their tonal landscapes in an interview. In other words: Toxically rocking and simultaneously catchy post punk kicks are on the menu. The two Scots name "cheap fender guitars, nasty red wine and not enough daylight" as influences and have related their sound to geographic and historical movements in music, such as "Glasgow and Edinburgh 1979-81, Manchester 1979-82, the Pacific Northwest 1988-91".

The debut album "In Debt" has been recorded in Glasgow with engineer Andrew Bush (We Were Promised Jetpacks, Mitchell Museum, The Seventeenth Century) and self-released by the band as limited edition in March 2011. The album's release coincided with a UK tour and a live session with Ally McCrae for BBC Radio 1, and the group featured as one of BBC Radio Scotland DJ Vic Galloway's "breakout bands" for 2011.
