Zos Kia Sounds Recordings is slated to release Larsen’s next LP May 01, 2012. The 10” picture disc is entitled Uncruel Cool Mouth and features a cinematic instrumental suite in two parts. The Torino, Italy based band, says the new LP, “has to be considered an introduction and at the same time companion to” their previous release Cruel Cool Mouth. Producer Marco Milanesio and the band’s own Paolo Dellapiana have taken sound sources from Cool Cruel Mouth and added various textures to stress shifting melodic elements and atmospheric dynamics.
Uncool Cruel Mouth will be Larsen’s nineteenth release over the past fifteen years. The band has collaborated with several artists over the years including z’ev, Michael Gira, Lustmord, David Tibet and more. The new picture disc is no exception and features Baby Dee, Marco Milanesio (9cento9), and Little Annie, adding piano, vocals, and bass to the instrumentation heard on the tracks.
The material will be available as a short-run limited edition vinyl picture disc and in digital format only.
