Swedish electro pop duo Godlike with musical ringleader Pär Björklund and vocalist Christopher Panov gained praise for their tongue-in-cheek lyrics and brilliant tunes but has not produced anything since the mid 2000's. The label Electric Fantastic Sound recently discovered a couple of unreleased tracks and remembered why the group was signed in the first place - the songs are timeless and thus the previous releases were compiled together with the unreleased material and put into something called "The Director's Collection".
This retrospective collection contains the three singles "Lovisa's Song", "It Will Be Godlike" and "Genetic Endeavor" as well as the Christmas anthem "Joseph" and the John Lennon cover "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)" along with some previously unreleased tracks and demos. To top it off a brand new remix by Diskodiktator of the unfinished song "Twentyone" that is said to be based on actual events! Godlike is a duo that pushes the term "creative" by a landslide. Pär is a medical scientist with a perfect sense of pop music and Christopher makes movies, he is perhaps most known for the romantic comedy "Hundtricket" ("The Dog Trick"). "The Director's Collection" is 18 tracks of timeless electro pop that will leave no one unmoved.
"The Director's Collection" is released by Electric Fantastic Sound on July 2.
