The guardians of the Gothenburg Sound, DARK TRANQUILLITY, released their first album 20 years ago and are still one of the most exciting bands in Melodic Death Metal. New and old fans will be happy to hear that they are ready to announce their 10th album. The band comments: "Greetings, Darklings! After having played over 200 shows in every corner of the world in support of the 'We Are The Void' album, it's time to focus inwards and lock ourselves up in the studio. Months and months of hard songwriting work has paid off, and the recording sessions will start early this year. Further details will be announced in due time, but for now we can reveal that the album will be entitled 'Construct' and that we're very excited to have Jens Bogren (Paradise Lost, Opeth, Katatonia) taking care of the mix. The release date is set for May 27."
Expect nothing but greatness and be sure to see DARK TRANQUILLITY live soon again. Next chance to hear the band live will be in Dubai where the band never played before (one of the last few blank spots on their map). Some European summer festivals are already announced and the band is also working on a US tour for September. 2013 will be a good year for DARK TRANQUILLITY fans - promised!
