A ten track, 45 minute sojourn of heartfelt melancholia, broken relationships, a scorching soundscape that lifts the soul into heights of abandoned euphoria. The album will be released via BMG / Chrysalis on 2nd/6th September. Released as a very special edition CD/DVD / heavyweight white vinyl / standard CD / as well as a deluxe and standard digital download ‘Later…When The TV Turns To Static’ is the third studio album from Glasvegas, recorded at Glasgow’s Gorbals Studios and produced by James Allan. Prior to the album, Glasvegas released a single taken from it in the shape of ‘If’ on July 8th. The single follows the first track to be heard from the album,‘I’d Rather Be Dead (Than Be With You)’, released as a limited edition 7″ vinyl in April to coincide with Record Store Day.
All formats of ‘Later…When The TV Turns To Static’ were created by James Allan and include a very special Deluxe Almanac Edition with iconic chevron foil embossed on a hardback almanac bound in linen with 40 stitched-in pages and ribbon page keeper. This CD/DVD double pack includes album masters plus a brand new and exclusive semi-acoustic performance at Glasgow’s 19th Century Adelaide Baptist Church, previously unseen live footage from King Tut’s, Official videos for ‘I’d Rather Be Dead (Than Be With You)’, and ‘If’, interviews, behind the scenes footage, and a booklet featuring Danny North photography of Glasvegas, moon eclipse photography, James Allan’ cut out wardrobe, behind the scenes photography, full album lyrics and more surprises!
