On January 10th, MODERN CUBISM, the Belgian electro/ EBM project consisting of Jean-Luc De Meyer (FRONT 242, 32 CRASH, ...) and Jean-Marc Mélot, will release a new double CD called ‘Ravivé’ (French word for ‘Revived’). It will include a re-issue of the band's first two albums: ‘Les Plaintes d'un Icare’ and ‘Live Complaints’, plus 5 new compositions that hadn't found their way on the first album: ‘Le squelette laboureur’, ‘L'amour et le crâne’, ‘L'ennui’, ‘L'examen de minuit’ and ‘Les hiboux’. On top of this, they added two recent remixes: ‘Le flacon’ and ‘Le squelette laboureur’.
As an exclusivity, you can listen to an excerpt of three new tracks here:
The reason for this re-issue is the fact that both albums were no longer available since the disappearance of the Sleepwalker label. As a consequence, the band received a lot of requests from fans to re-issue those albums. The band's current (German) label, Emmo.biz Records, decided to acquire the rights and to re-issue the albums. Note that the 2CD digipak is limited to 500 copies! A collector's item! It will also be available for digital download on the label's website!
