Seized by customs officials all over the world, confiscated by frightened parents & now the center of what may be a US terrorism investigation, Romero's potion has been causing quite a stir. Just what is in the "potion"? Only Romero knows...When stoner rockers, ROMERO, were creating promotional rewards to offer on their Kickstarter campaign, their intention was purely artistic. They wanted something unique & exclusive to offer fans in celebration of the new album, "Take The Potion". They hand made 1.5" tall glass corked potion bottle charms with labels that read "ROMERO - Take The Potion". Voodoo inspired accouterments were tied around the neck. Inside the charms, were multi-colored "potions" specially chosen by the members of the band, so each one was unique.
The Kickstarter campaign was a success! The vinyl version of "Take The Potion" was funded. The rewards were created & sent out to all of the faithful campaign backers. As promised, each charm was unique. "Each potion bottle was created for the individual who was to receive it", said Romero frontman, Jeffrey Mundt, "Each potion bottle contained exactly what it should have", continued Mundt, "and it's contents varied tremendously depending on where it was going."
ROMERO never dreamed of garnering the kind of attention they have received from this fiasco. Although they have been called witches, satanists & now, terrorists...as of press time, the band has not been formally charged with anything illegal.
