nekoi devojkiThe compilation album “Nekoi Devojki” (English: Some Girls) features 15 tracks by Macedonian female artists and bands with prominent female members, all part of the contemporary independent music scene. In addition to being specifically compiled to promote the “female part” of the Macedonian underground scene, it is also a good introduction to independent Macedonian music for everyone not familiar with it. The compilation album features original tracks by: Bernays Propaganda, Devojka, Future Cathedrals, G-rough, Galathea, GreenFuzz, Herzel & Genoveva, June, Nina Georgieva, Plava, Prvata Dama, Quiet Hiroshima, Sleet, Telemama and Undone.

Many of these tracks get a physical release for the first time, and some of them have been specially created for the compilation. Among the artists on this release there are mostly newcomers as  well as some renowned, well-experienced artists. The music styles on the compilation are varied, covering many genres that reflect the diversity of the Macedonian contemporary scene. This is the first music release of its kind in Macedonia.

This compilation was made by the team and the friends of the radio show Ako Nikoj Ne Sviri, broadcasted on the cult radio Kanal 103, in partnership with the Youth Cultural Centre in Skopje.
