smashingpumpkins monumentstoanelegyTHE SMASHING PUMPKINS will release two new studio albums: ‘Monuments To An Elegy’ will be released on 5th December 2014 via Martha’s Music / BMG, ‘Day For Night’ will be out during next year. ‘Monuments To An Elegy’ is the middle part of a 44 songs grasping cycle, being started in 2009 with ‘Teargarden By Kaleidyscope’ and that will end with ‘Day For Night’. On drums, no one less than MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee can be heard.

The album was recorded in Chicago, the home town of the band, and produced by Howard Willing (working regularly with the band since the ‘Adore’ album), guitarist Jeff Schroeder and singer Billy Corgan. Responsible for mixing was David Botrill and for mastering Howie Weinberg, who already mixed the PUMPKINS classics of the nineties.
