‘Resonance’ marks the probably most prestigious moment in VNV NATION's career so far. After years of planning, many of VNV NATION's most popular songs can be found on this record, presented exclusively by an orchestra and vocals. Other studio instruments were not used since it was the aim to create an opus which sounds as authentic as possible. VNV NATION have been familiar with classic music for long and have often found inspiration for their own songs in it – with ‘Resonance’, a long-awaited dream has become reality. The album was recorded with the world-famous Babelsberg Film Orchestra in their historic facilities in Potsdam – immediately next to the stage on which legendary films like Fritz Lang's ‘Metropolis’ came into being. Only the best studios were considered for the recording, mixing and mastering. The results speak for themselves and can certainly be called majestic. This record is a soundtrack for a film that has yet to be created. The record will be available on CD (for a short time in a special digibook format) and as a limited deluxe vinyl / CD box set. For the box set, VNV NATION were inspired by the style and standard of the record sets of the times of Schellack records.
