chelseawolfe liveamsterdamChelsea Wolfe, the American singer-songwriter hailing from Los Angeles, is currently in Europe for a few exclusive shows. The first one was held yesterday at the North Sea Jazz Club in Amsterdam. During this show, she played three new songs from her forthcoming album 'Abyss', due to be released on August 7th via Sargent House: 'Clarion Flowers', 'Iron Moon' and 'Dragged out'. It was the first time that 'Clarion Flowers' was played live. You can watch a live video excerpt of 'Dragged Out' HERE.

Chelsea Wolfe is one of the most talented artists to appear on the scene in the last five years. She plays a versatile and highly original crossover of dark, doomish, folk/ post-metal/ electronica. Her eagerly awaited new album will follow the highly appraised ‘Pain Is Beauty’ album, which was the best album of the year 2013 and a true masterpiece, in my humble opinion. Before the concert, Ben Chisholm, Chelsea's long-time band mate, co-writer and multi-instrumentalist, revealed to us that the new album will be more "guitar-oriented". In the next few days, Wolfe will play at the Roskilde festival in Denmark and at ATP Iceland in Keflavík. In September, she will tour extensively in the US together with Wovenhand and she will be back in Europe in October. Don't miss this amazing artist!
