On August 20, 2021, almost four years after their last album ‘Am Port der guten Hoffnung’, the Frisian offshore electro head MASSIV IN MENSCH will release a new album and a strictly limited ‘Best of’ on coloured vinyl via Katyusha Records. The occasion is the 25th anniversary of the band. Daniel Logemann and Mirco Osterthun founded the project in the summer of 1996. ‘Türkis und Schwarz’ is the 9th regular studio album by MASSIV IN MENSCH and contains the last six singles. There are also ten new pieces.‘Türkis und Schwarz’ has deliberately not become a concept album. It represents the tonal diversity of the band even more than usual. While the 1st (black = schwarz) part of the album is still characterized by a rough and gloomy mood, in the 2nd (turquoise = türkis) part it becomes more electronic and playful. As on previous albums, MASSIV IN MENSCH work with guest musicians (Sam Winter, Bojana) and the singer Rana Arborea. The intro is again spoken by actor and voice actor Reiner Schöne. ‘Türkis und Schwarz’ will be released on CD on August 20th and is of course also available on all digital platforms.
