The time has finally come. The platinum-rewarded rockers NICKELBACK from Vancouver B.C. are currently working on the successor to the 2005 release ‘All the Right Reasons’ (7x Platinum USA, 2x Platinum UK, Platinum Germany). They completely self-produced the last long-player at the Mountain view Studio near Vancouver. For the new album, they invited some experienced support. No one less than the legendary rock producer Mutt Lange (AC/DC ‘Highway To Hell’, ‘Back in Black’ and ‘Who Made Who’, Foreigner ‘4’, Def Leppard ‘High’n’Dry’, ‘Pyromania’ and ‘Hysteria’) turns the knobs here.

The album gets released in Germany on 14th November. The first single ‘If Today Was Your Last Day’ will be spread to radio stations end of September. Roadrunner Records and NICKELBACK work together for over ten years now. The band could sell more than 26 Mio albums worldwide so far. The last album ‘All the Right Reasons’ alone sold over 10 Mio times. Furthermore, the 5 singles out of the last album cycle could generate 9.3 Mio downloads and 5.5 Mio ringtone sells.

In Germany, only ‘Savin Me’ was on #2 of the local Airplay Charts. ‘Photograph’, ‘Far Away’, ‘If Everyone Cared’ and ‘Rockstar’ made it to the top of the local Airplay Charts. The band donated the worldwide proceeds from the digital sells of ‘If Everyone Cared’ from 2007 (Single and Video) to equal parts to Amnesty International and International Children’s Awareness Canada. In 2006, the band received the World Music Award as “World’s Best Rock Group” the Billboard Touring Award as “Breakthrough Artist”, the American Music Award for “Favourite Pop/Rock Album” and the People’s Choice Award for “Best Rock Group”. Both Roadrunner Records and NICKELBACK are looking forward the collaboration on the new album to link to the past successes.
