Already one year after the much noticed debut “Der Tod und das Mädchen”, Dörte Flemming now presents her next long-player “…und wenn das Herz auch bricht” of her solo project BACIO DI TOSCA. Regardless of the short time between the releases, she presents a matured work about “Love in all its facets” with carefully selected lyrics of ancient poets like Heine, Storm or Joseph von Eichendorff. Where the debut sounded a little undecided at some points, this album now appears stylistically stable and impressively shows how god you can merge classical music and modern elements. Dörte Flemming knows how to connect these virtually contrasting elements to a single, dense composition to develop her own, distinct style. The aura of an opera-like voice is hovers again above the composition as a means to convey emotions in a very unique way.
