The waiting has finally come to an end. After the harbinger ‘Forbidden’, ‘Black Symphony’, the live recording of the grandiose WITHIN TEMPTATION concert together with the Metropole Orchestra at the Ahoy in Rotterdam, has been released on 19th September 2008. The impressive show was recorded with various HD cameras and marks a milestone in the band’s career. Even the Kerrang! Magazine said “This really is the greatest show on earth!” Now you have the chance to experience this unique live feeling at home. With the complete concert on 2 CDs as base you can enjoy the show in every CD player.The special edition comprises about 6 hours of footage and various bonus features. There are 2 DVDs: on DVD1 you’ll find the actual ‘Black Symphony’ concert, besides a backstage report, a documentary as well as a countdown to the concert. On DVD2 there’s even more concert feeling with the music videos of WITHIN TEMPTATION at the “Beursgebouw”. You can look forward to a “Making Of” as well as world tour impressions with the band “on the Road” being accompanied by a camera. In the extras, videos of the TMF awards, the Dutch Pop Award, a photo shooting and some orchestra recordings are hidden.
The ‘Super Deluxe Edition’ also features the complete concert, split on 2 Audio CDs on top. If you’re still not sure you can find two videos of the concert in HD here and in addition the video trailer to get the look & feel.
We also thought of a cool video collection. You can download original video material of the concert on specially designed website (http://www.blacksymphony.nl/). There are different camera angles of ‘Hands of Sorrow’, bonus scenes of the whole concert, exclusive video material from the tour. With that material you can create your own ‘Hands of Sorrow’ video clip and take part in the competition.
