Rock songs of rock musicians about rock musicians on tour tend to become boring, self-referencing crap, you should avoid if you can. But you obviously can’t apply the same rules on those, constantly blessing the world live with exciting music for years like the Followill family (Caleb, Nathan, Jared and Cousin Matthew), Especially, when considering such a remarkable composition as the hymnal ‘Use Somebody’. The second single of the current album ‘Only by the Night’ was crafted on the road again. The loneliness of the sheer endless concert journeys inspired singer and front man Caleb Followill to one of the most longing, most poignant, and most catchy in the band’s history. Caleb says, “The song is about being far away from home.”

The long, hard work of the four musicians from Tennessee on their way to become the biggest and best rock band of our generation pays off more and more. In Great Britain, where album and single reached #1 of the charts they sold over 1.4 million copes up to now. In the US, the KINGS OF LEON entered the Top 5 of the album charts and in Germany; the band had their first Top 30 placement in the album charts. For the first time, a KINGS OF LEON single reached the German airplay and album charts. But not only fans and colleagues "There's a quality to it that other people don't have" - Brandon Flowers, The Killers) go completely nuts, the music critics made Caleb, Nathan, Jared and Matthew their kings, so they recently received 3 Grammy nominations for:

"Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals" (for "Sex on Fire")
"Best Rock Song" ("Sex on Fire")
"Best Rock Album" (for "Only by the Night").
+ 4 nominations for the NME Awards and 2 for the Brit Awards

Those, who couldn’t get a ticket for the two German show in Cologne and Berlin, we have some good news. The KINGS OF LEON come to Germany again for two headlining dates at the following festivals in summer:

19th June 2009 - Kings Of Leon live at Southside Festival
20th June 2009 - Kings Of Leon live at Hurricane Festival
