After Norway, the new a-ha single "Foot of the Mountain" has now also been released to the rest of the world as a digital 3-track download via iTunes. Only Germany, where the band always has had a very strong fanbase, gets the luxury of a physical single (a 2-track holding the album version and the radio edit). The "Foot of the mountain" EP which you can buy via iTunes holds 3 tracks, an album version, a radio edit and a remix of the title track, which is actually also the name of the forthcoming album of the band, to be released on June 19th via the Universal label We Love Mu.The track "Foot of the mountain" was co-written with Martin Terefe who also worked on a-ha's 2005 album "Analogue". Terefe's production and writing credits include Ron Sexsmith, KT Tunstall, James Morrison, Martha Wainwright, Shea Seger, Jason Mraz, Alex Cuba Band and recently the first original pop song released by Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) since 1978. He also worked together with such musicians and artists as Chris Martin, Chucho Valdes, Pharell Williams, Ed Harcourt, David Foster, and Kim Richey. Not exactly bands or names you will have heard of but we mention it anyhow. The album "Foot of the mountain" will hold 10 tracks:

A video for "Foot of the Mountain" was shot on the Baltic coast of Germany and in Berlin. The video has been directed by Olaf Heine, whom a-ha have worked with before on a photo shoot in 2002.
