Conorach are thrilled to announce a new promo CD, which will be released today, February 26th. After releasing their debut album 'Tales from the Tavern' in 2008, the band felt the time was right to follow-up with new material. The new songs recorded have been played live at specially selected events and have steadily grown to become live favourites; the Dutch East Indies Company-themed epic '42 Days' and 'Patriot's Song', a steady headbanger with the kind of twist to be expected from Conorach.

The band has decided to release this promo CD under a Creative Commons license, making the recordings fully available for free on their website www.conorach.nl and social networks. For fans eager to have something tangible a limited number of CD's will be made, as always featuring beautiful artwork by guitarist and graphic artist Patrick den Drijver. They can be ordered from their website. Conorach are a melodic heavy/folk metal band from the Netherlands, succesfully blending  diverse influences like power metal and European folk music with a progressive edge to boot. Since hitting the scene in 2006 they've performed with international acts such as Heidevolk, Hollenthon, Freedom Call and Ross the Boss at popular events like Roadgrill and Westerpop.

After being positively received by metal fans, (internet) radio stations and colleague bands alike, this eagerly anticipated release heralds a fresh breeze through the international metal scene and is not one you'd like to miss out on in 2010. On February 27th Conorach will play an exclusive acoustic show at Tandwieltje, a steampunk event in an old theatre in Oss (NL). Played will be special arrangements of  familiar songs as well as never before heard material. Other shows are being planned for 2010. Watch their website for updates.
