One group that has definitely paid their fair share of dues is the Southern California based quintet IN THIS MOMENT who, through hard work, resiliency and an undying worldwide touring schedule have propelled themselves to the top of the heap of the metal pantheon. They have now returned with their most dynamic and focused offering, A Star-Crossed Wasteland, which is set for release on July 10th, 2010 all across Europe. For the recording of their 3rd studio album, A Star-Crossed Wasteland, IN THIS MOMENT once more chose to work with acclaimed producer Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch) at the Wolve’s Den Studio in Las Vegas.The band comments on the recording: “The writing process for A Star-Crossed Wasteland was different than on our previous records. This time we had more of a plan and we knew we wanted to write darker heavier songs while still keeping our melodic side. […] For us, using Kevin Churko was a no brainer, we had such a great experience making The Dream that we didn't even consider using anyone else. I've said it before and I will say it again, Kevin is the man. He is like the Gandalf the Grey or Yoda of producing. He has so much knowledge and is so creative musically we feel like magic happens when we work together.”

IN THIS MOMENT also shot a cowboy themed video for the track “The Gun Show” in the Los Angeles, CA area on May 16th. The shoot was helmed by acclaimed director David Brodsky (Suicide Silence, The Black Dahlia Murder) and Chris Howorth (guitars) checks in with the following report: “We just wrapped shooting our newest video for ‘The Gun Show’ and every member of IN THIS MOMENT feels like we were in a car crash. We haven't played any shows since December and after a full day of headbanging we all have legitimate cases of whiplash, but it was well worth it. We all had a blast and know this video is gonna turn out awesome! Welcome to the fucking gun show!” The video will be released within the next few weeks so stay tuned for some Wild West madness!
