THE NEW RECRUITS will release their debut EP, entitled ‘The Ten Count EP’ on 10th June. Let It Burn Records comments on the signing: “We’re extremely happy to have THE NEW RECRUITS in our roster now. Working with friends is a great pleasure anyway. But if those friends deliver music that is so exciting and completely new for the label it’s hard to find the right words. The release of ‘The Ten Count’ is a great challenge for Let It Burn Records, because we’re breaking new grounds here. So we can hardly wait to put out the EP.”
But what kind of band is THE NEW RECRUITS anyway? Here’s their mission statement:
THE NEW RECRUITS make these four commitments:
• We will make music we love.
• We will NOT try to win any popularity contests.
• We will develop quality sound vibration.
• We will hurt ourselves in the process.
Culture: Infiltrated by influences of dark gospel, counter-insurgency-sound-operation, irregular-sound-tactics & blood. TNR were developed & produced to form a small, mobile force competing against a larger, more unwieldy one (namely the modern day rock community and it's multiple media outlets).
THE NEW RECRUITS (TNR) are considered an affilitate of today's music scene, responsible for providing distorted gospel & blood amongst the few initiated individuals of the mission's community. In the musical leadership structure TNR are to be considered a separate branch. blood. gospel. sound. uniforms. sweat. sex. leaders. self-defense. unity. alliance.
