Album Review

Impressive, versatile and charming, these words crossed my mind when I started listening to the new creation of French musician NEHL AËLIN. The third full-length album entitled ‘Le Monde Saha’ begins with a delicate melody which sometimes affords more emotional inclusions but still continues to flow calmly carrying a listener away to a wonderful world. So it’s really easy to make oneself comfortable and enjoy the music supported by excellent vocals and light lyrics. And finally you may find yourself plunged into a peculiar atmosphere to which each song adds something unique. The pieces in English and in Japanese make an interesting contrast. Actually when I read French titles of the tracks, Japanese was almost the last language I expected to hear. Nevertheless it sounds just great.

At first instrumental ‘Au delà du Mont Minobu’ creates an image of that Japanese mountain with fresh air and picturesque landscapes and then the next composition invites us to a walk through a garden with fine flowers. Besides all so to say, oriental tracks presented on the album allow to relax and even to meditate for awhile. Surprisingly the final song is indeed in French and appears to be quite cheerful and positive of course if you don’t have arachnophobia. All in all the album is very original and even a bit queer. But anyway it’s worthy to listen to at least for relaxation yet the material will interest all lovers of good music.
