Album Review

THE PINEAPPLE THIEF’s 9th studio album, ‘All The Wars’, is an in-depth and dynamic piece of work. Each song has a sound and scope so vast, the layers and moods that it explores are an overwhelming, listening experience. From Soord’s melancholic vocals to the intense implosions of strings and arrangements really ferments something special here, its whole concoction inhabits raw emotions and musical poeticism. ‘Last Man Standing’ really provokes with its aching yet melodic furore, the album title track, ‘All The Wars’, touches the nerves whereas ‘Build The World’ turns up the adrenaline with its pulsating and vibrant beat. However, throughout the whole album, there is a haunting profundity to it. ‘All The Wars’ is their finest piece of work to date that will shake the Prog rock world for some time. THE PINEAPPLE THIEF has broadened the canvas in its genre, adding more of an emotive scope instead of just the typical generic conventions.
