Review Flash

‘Build A World’ is most certainly one of the most striking tracks taken from the album, ‘All The Wars’. Soord envelops the same panache as the well-acclaimed LP, he continues with the same fiery energy that bursts with harmonies and addictive guitar loops. This EP makes the perfect companion to ‘All The Wars’. THE PINEAPPLE THIEF sound like a softer, more harmonised RADIOHEAD, however, Soord and his fellow band mates don’t quite acquire the same potential. Lyrics are the strongest aspect here, the melancholic tones of Soord’s voice definitely delivers along with their enticing arrangements that mesh between synth and raw guitar. THE PINEAPPLE THIEF are an enjoyable listen; ‘You Drew Blood’ exhibits strength with its biting chorus whilst the track, ‘You Don’t Look So Innocent’ perfectly adds some carnage into the mix.

Conclusion: Considerably a delightful listen, this outfit is undoubtedly engaging and beguiling with their knack for well executed melodies although, whether they’re memorable and timeless is another debate altogether.
