Interview with Lars Kappeler (bass guitar) from Sweet Ermengarde
Since I last spoke to Lars Kappeler from SWEET ERMENGARDE last time in September 2021, a lot has changed. Singer Daniel Schweigler has left the band. But that didn’t mean the end at all: Drew Freeman from SOMETIME THE WOLF has already joined as the new singer and SWEET ERMENGARDE have already played the first gigs with their new voice. In the interview Lars reveals what that was like and how surprisingly quickly the new cast came about.

Last night I met a couple in their 60s who had recently started listening to - and watching Goth bands… after hearing Rhombus online. This is such a testimony to the wide appeal of the UK based band. RHOMBUS is one the most vibrant and distinctive Goth bands on the scene, with an impressive discography. The band consist of Edward Grassby (vocals and bass), Alixandrea Corvyn (vocals), Lee Talbot (drums and percussion) and Rob Walker (guitars and programming).

Interview with Joanna Pavlidou (vocals) from Selofan
The Greek duo SELOFAN, consisting of Joanna Pavlidou and Dimitris Pavlidis, have been making music together for ten years. Their sixth album ‘Partners in Hell’ came out in October 2020, so they couldn’t present their new music live for a long time because of the pandemic. Now the duo has been back on international tour for a few months. I had the opportunity to talk to singer Joanna before their show in Oberhausen. In the interview she reveals, among other things, how SELOFAN was founded, how they have developed musically - and they also have a new project together!

Always looking for good new music, I came across RABENGOTT. The Cologne couple Denise Kylla and Dennis Sennekamp founded the project and have now launched their first songs. The latest track ‘The Weight’ was recently released. I talked to them about the background of the band, their music and further plans.

Interview withSean-Patrick Nolan from Traitrs
The Toronto based duo is about to set off on European tour. With the first show in Hamburg on 25 Mar 2022 they will continue on and perform live in 12 other European cities, including Barcelona, Paris and Leipzig to name just a few. It’s quite an event since the band (like many others for that matter) was not performing for over two years, so definitely it will be quite a treat for the fans to participate in their concerts, especially that there are some great bands accompanying them during the said tour. About performing live, the most recent release, artistic development and future plans with Sean from TRAITRS.
