Several iconic recordings from the extensive catalogue of DIE KRUPPS have never been officially released digitally. This unfortunate situation has finally been rectified and the missing fan-favourite masterpieces are now available through streaming platforms and other digital outlets. Please see below for a detailed list.These digital reissues follow in the wake of the genre-defining German band’s latest EP ‘Will nicht - MUSS!’, which had been created as a hand-numbered collectors’ CD for their successful 45th anniversary tour and will also be released as limited vinyl editions this December. DIE KRUPPS comment: “We are delighted that all our studio albums are finally available on all major digital music platforms”, Jürgen Engler writes on behalf of the band. “We are aware that many of you have been eagerly awaiting this moment as long as we did. We have been asked countless times why some of our most popular works were not available online - and we would also have loved to get an answer to this question, which never came. Well, at least this is a thing of the past now. Our entire catalogue will be accessible for streaming. The remaining 7 recordings to be digitally released are: ‘Entering the Arena’ (1985), ‘The Machineries of Joy’ (1989), ‘I’ (1992), ‘A Tribute to Metallica’ (1992), ‘The Final Remixes’ (1994), ‘III - Odyssey of the Mind’ (1995), and ‘Paradise Now’ (1997).
These modern classics including several of the band’s biggest hits such as ‘The Machineries of Joy’ with NITZER EBB, ‘Metal Machine Music’, ‘Scent’, and the collaboration with legendary British frontman Arthur Brown on the band’s rendition of his anthem ‘Fire’!
Industrial metal legends DIE KRUPPS have recently dropped their latest video single ‘Will nicht - MUSS!’. This track is taken from the EP ‘Will nicht - MUSS! / On Collision Course’. The ‘Will nicht - MUSS! / On Collision Course’ EP contains guest contributions and remixes from prominent musicians of renowned acts such as MINISTRY with whom DIE KRUPPS have successfully toured in the US earlier this year.
