Die Krupps
In September 2023, the Industrial Rockers DIE KRUPPS will come together for two dates in Germany. On 2nd September, they will return to the Kulturfabrik in Krefeld, a venue where the band already performed in the early years and celebrated many parties there.
There are supposed to be people who don’t know the band DIE KRUPPS yet. The band, which was founded in Düsseldorf, has been on the road since the early 80s. Jürgen Engler was the singer of the first German punk band MALE and later founded DIE KRUPPS. He met Ralf Dörper in the legendary Ratinger Hof. Both are responsible for the sound that has grown over the years.
From experimental symphonies in the early days, to synth sounds with Pop ambitions, to hard Industrial Metal and today powerful Guitar Rock. Also present from the beginning is the “Stahlophon”. A kind of xylophone, consisting of several large steel tubes of different sizes and diameters. However, this unusual instrument is only operated by Jurgen Engler at the live concerts. Ralf Dörper, on the other hand, stands rather quietly and calmly behind his keyboards - there is no need for big acting when you deliver the perfect sounds. The line-up is completed by Niels Finkeisen on guitars and Paul Keller on drums.
New in their luggage will hopefully be the song ‘Temple of Love’, a cover of the SISTERS OF MERCY classic.
