Feuertal Festival 2023 with Feuerschwanz, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Letzte Instanz, Unzucht, Haggefugg and Fuchsteufelswild
On August 26, 2023, the Feuertal Festival will open its doors again on the Wuppertaler Hardt. In addition to the headliners FEUERSCHWANZ, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER, LETZTE INSTANZ, UNZUCHT, HAGGEFUGG and FUCHSTEUFELSWILD are confirmed. The last tickets for the event are now on sale. In recent years, the event has been sold out in advance.
The Franconian medieval folk rockers FEUERSCHWANZ are among the most successful acts on the scene. Their current album ‘Memento Mori’ reached number one in the German charts and thus marks the biggest success in the band’s history so far. Founded in 2004 as a humorous medieval band, FEUERSCHWANZ have long since established themselves as one of the biggest and most serious bands in the German Rock scene. Behind pseudonyms like Hauptmann Feuerschwanz or Hans der Aufrechte are great musicians. Their combination of Heavy Metal paired with instrumental and visual elements from the Medieval and Folk scene as well as their charismatic sense of humour makes FEUERSCHWANZ a real one-of-a-kind.
DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER from Weimar in Thuringia have long been part of the Who’s Who of the scene. Their current album ‘Wilde Kinder’ was released in April and entered the charts at number nine. The band fuses Heavy Metal and Folk elements together and is known for their rousing and sweaty live shows bring to a boil. The LEZTTE INSTANZ performance at the Feuertal Festival will be a very special one: The band, which has dedicated itself to a kind of intense brute romanticism, is celebrating its 25th band anniversary! The sextet from Dresden has the latest studio album ‘Ehrenwort’ with them, on which they once again prove their virtuoso free spirit of merging classical music and various types of Rock.
The Hanoverians from UNZUCHT have been active since 2009. The Dark Rockers charted at number nine with their work ‘Jenseits Der Welt’, released in 2020, and have long since made a name for themselves as a permanent fixture in the scene. HAGGEFUGG have been known for their down-to-earth Medieval Rock since 20215. With bagpipes and shawms in a Rock formation, original and traditional melodies merge into a contemporary sound. FUCHSTEUFELSWILD also come from the Medieval scene. The band started their career in 2014 with medieval market music. In 2017, the musicians received an award for best Folk Rock band from Deutsche Rock & Pop.
However, the Feuertal Festival is much more than just its powerful, stage-loving line up. It’s a journey into another time. A long-awaited trip into an atmospheric, almost magical-mystical world. The picturesque location is framed by all sorts of medieval-inspired hustle and bustle. In addition to the main stage, a traditional medieval market is once again tempting and invites you to rummage through times gone by. In addition to crafts and all sorts of beautiful things, there is also a magnificent gourmet mile, which takes care of your physical well-being in the spirit of medieval hospitality - year after year, a momentum for something very special is created in the heart of Wuppertal.
