Live in Berlin with a surprise guest appearance by Fred Rabe (Giant Rooks) on “Rubber Band Man” - Next Germany show: Cologne - 12 NovemberMUMFORD & SONS kicked off the German leg of their European tour last night, 10 November, with a sold-out show at Berlin’s Uber Arena - and a very special surprise. Midway through the set, the band welcomed Fred Rabe of GIANT ROOKS to the stage to perform their latest single ‘Rubber Band Man.’
In the original studio version, the duet features HOZIER - but last night it was Rabe’s turn to take the spotlight. The collaboration came about after MUMFORD & SONS recently discovered GIANT ROOKS’ music and invited Rabe to join them on stage for the Berlin performance. Meeting for the first time earlier that day during soundcheck, the chemistry was instant - something the audience could clearly feel as the song unfolded. Clips of the performance are already circulating across TikTok and Instagram.
The band continue their tour tomorrow, 12 November, with a show at Lanxess Arena in Cologne, before heading on to France, Switzerland, Italy, and the UK.
MUMFORD & SONS will release their sixth studio album, Prizefighter, on 13 February 2026, following the success of Rushmere, which topped the UK Albums Chart and reached the Top 5 in Germany and Austria earlier this year. The album’s lead single ‘Rubber Band Man (with Hozier)’ is out now, accompanied by a stunning new video.
‘Prizefighter’ was produced by Aaron Dessner (The National), who previously worked with the band on ‘Wilder Mind’, and captures MUMFORD & SONS at their most instinctive and open. Written over just ten days, the album is both deeply personal and warmly collaborative. Marcus Mumford’s lyrics explore resilience and ambition, carried by a tone of quiet confidence and urgency.
Alongside HOZIER, the record also features guest appearances from Gracie Abrams, Chris Stapleton, and Gigi Perez.
