Led by medieval rock titans SALTATIO MORTIS, organizer FKP Scorpio confirms 24 new names for the M’era Luna Festival. The largest gothic event of its kind will once again draw 25,000 guests to the Hildesheim-Drispenstedt airfield on August 8th and 9th, with over 80 percent of tickets already sold.Medieval instruments meet modern rock: SALTATIO MORTIS masterfully blend contrasts both on and off stage with musical professionalism and a clear stance. This principle has transformed the six-member formation from street musicians into chart-toppers - the kind who, despite a handful of number-one albums, have never forgotten their roots. Live, the Karlsruhe-based band is a force of nature: passionate, close to their audience, and always with a mischievous twinkle in their eye, they compellingly demonstrate that commitment and a clear stance don’t require a wagging finger, but rather arms intertwined in dance.
LACRIMOSA masterfully imbue intense emotions with sound: melancholy and lyricism, rock and classical music influences define an aesthetic that has become instrumental in shaping Symphonic Metal. The musical project led by Tilo Wolff and Anne Nurmi is thus not only highly successful on major stages but also in the charts with their new album ‘Lament’.
