Many of you will treasure their memories of the 2013 edition of the METALFEST LORELEY… many thousands fans traveled to the beautiful Rhein Valley in Germany to party. From June 19th to 21st it will be happening again. June 19th is a national holiday in Germany which guarantees a perfect kick-off into a glorious festival weekend –also because of the line up. No one who does not know SABATON – the Swedish being well known for their melodic Heavy Metal are conquering the Rock-World by storm at the moment. No 1 chart entry as well as a sold out tour speak for themselves: they are one of the most wanted bands of the hour. For the first time on German ground, SABATON are going to shoot some brand new material from their forthcoming album into the circles of the amphitheater – exclusively at METALFEST LORELEY! And be sure we will celebrate this worthily!

The British heavy metal legends produce a series of alternative takes on classic favourites to herald a worthy new entry to the Saxonian Institute of Metal. There is always feral beauty in a raging beast and with Unplugged and Strung Up, Saxon's selection of unique, fresh and adventurous interpretations of material previously heard only with raw heavy metal thunder, the point is triumphantly underscored. Unplugged and Strung Up reveals layers and pieces previously dormant in many of the 14 classic Saxon songs chosen for this makeover, thanks to some ear-catching new arrangements and mixes. Recorded, mixed and mastered with Andy Sneap in Derbyshire, UK earlier this year, Biff and co re-evaluated, re-worked and re-energized the towering likes of "The Eagle Has Landed" and "Crusader" by introducing orchestral dynamics to offer added dimension.

Enter DARKHAUS: An Intercontinental Modern Rock outfit consisting of 5 men from 4 representative countries (Scotland, US, Germany, Austria). Band maestro Rupert Keplinger is a multi-platinum songwriter / composer whom is best known for his collaborations with top selling artists such as Eisbrecher, Stephan Weidner, Oomph!, Peter Maffay, and others. DARKHAUS co-creator Gary Meskil (whom is also founder of legendary US hardcore band PRO-PAIN) describes their sound as "stylistically versatile, dark and emotional, but with much light to be found at the end of the proverbial tunnel".

STEAM POWERED GIRAFFE, the San Diego based Steampunk band, finally have the firm release date for their much anticipated new album 'M.K.III' as December 3rd. Just in time for Christmas, the album, which will be reviewed nearer it's release along with an interview with the band, will be available from I-tunes and the band's own website for purchase. HIM will be touring Finland for the first time since 2008. For three years fans have been waiting to hear the new creation from the HIM. And in the end of April the band has presented the eighth album ‘Tears On Tape’, and matter of course it has reached the top of international charts.
