truewidow Following a successful run of European shows in November and December with Kurt Vile, TRUE WIDOW have confirmed a brand new set of headline dates for April 2014. The "stonegaze" Texan trio have already been announced to play at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg on April 10th, and this new update of shows will see them hitting the UK and mainland Europe for three weeks around the festival. The band commented: "The December tour was more about us getting out to see some new places with our buddy Kurt and his sonic death squad of Violators. The April tour is for our friends and fans!"

shining video A few months ago, Norwegian blackjazz band Shining released a short one-take video where they performed their hit single “I Won’t Forget” in the rubble of the demolition site for their old studio in Oslo, Norway. Now they release another video for their second single “The One Inside”, filmed completely live and in one take on a glowing hot day in the middle of the Californian Mojave Desert.

paaspop2014 A selection of 15 new names has been confirmed for the line-up of Paaspop (‘Easter pop’) festival in Schijndel, the Netherlands. Paaspop is held from 18-20th of April at festival location Molenheide in Schijndel. Aside from a broad selection of dance, jazz, funk, pop and blues, a fine selection of the louder kind of music is already present on the list. Thus far, the opener of the Dutch festival season features names such as TRIGGER FINGER, HATEBREED, DEVILDRIVER, BLOOD RED SHOES, HALESTORM, PETER PAN SPEEDROCK and THE EXPLOITED.

moderncubism ravive On January 10th, MODERN CUBISM, the Belgian electro/ EBM project consisting of Jean-Luc De Meyer (FRONT 242, 32 CRASH, ...) and Jean-Marc Mélot, will release a new double CD called ‘Ravivé’ (French word for ‘Revived’). It will include a re-issue of the band's first two albums: ‘Les Plaintes d'un Icare’ and ‘Live Complaints’, plus 5 new compositions that hadn't found their way on the first album: ‘Le squelette laboureur’, ‘L'amour et le crâne’, ‘L'ennui’, ‘L'examen de minuit’ and ‘Les hiboux’. On top of this, they added two recent remixes: ‘Le flacon’ and ‘Le squelette laboureur’.
