Blackfield’s third album is to be released in March, followed by live dates in the UK and Europe in April, and in the US in May. Blackfield is the acclaimed collaboration between Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) and Israeli artist Aviv Geffen. The duo are currently putting the finishing touches on their third album, which is due to be released in March on Kscope. Formed after a meeting in 2000, the partnership blossomed into a cross-cultural collaboration that has already spawned two albums (2004’s Blackfield and 2007’s Blackfield II).

The New Year takes off really good, because the first band confirmations for the Area4 Festival 2011 have just popped in. In are the alternative rockers of 30 SECONDS TO MARS, Irish punk legends DROPKICK MURPHYS who couldn’t hide their anticipation anymore and announced themselves already last week, the uncompromising NOFX and last but not least the guys of MADSEN with one of their famous live shows.

With it you can have exclusive aspects of the Wacken Open Air, never seen pictures of the festival and backstage impression in high quality 3D.
