Amon Amarth “Jomsviking European Tour 2016” with support Testament & Grand Magus
The biggest Viking Dragon boat is again on his course to Europe. At this time, the first shows are sold out. On November 23rd, the boat is docking in Leipzig Haus Auensee. If you don’t have a ticket yet, order it right now! AMON AMARTH has been on the road since the end of the 80s. Their roots go back to the Grindcore band SCUM.
The band’s trademark is an unusual mixture of melodic death metal and extremely fast instrumental passages. Something completely new was born and quickly found his niche in the genre. The band name refers to Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" epic. AMON AMARTH, the Fate mountain, plays a decisive role in the book. At the beginning of the band´s history, the Line-up changed from time to time until the second album ‘The Avenger’ with which they found their still firm line-up until today. In the following years, AMON AMARTH released ten albums and the fan community grew with each album bigger and bigger. ‘Jomsviking’ is album no 10 and it is in stores since the 25th of March 2016.
It also came in first place on the official German charts, first place in Austria, third place in Switzerland. After three years, AMON AMARTH is on tour again and the band says: “Europe, after three years away we are returning to your lands and are bringing with us our biggest headline show ever. Sharpen your weapons, fortify your embankments & hide your loved ones! We are bringing our berserker party to a town near you and we hope to see you there so you can ‘Raise Your Horns’ together with us to glory!“
