After the release of the groundbreaking debut album `Focus´ in 1993 it took 15 years to make the American Progressive Metal band CYNIC comeing back. Though they have been away for so many years, the second album `Traced in Air´ doesn’t have to hide behind the sensational `Focus´, as it is innovative and playful again without copying the former success patterns.

This year, Paul Masvidal (vocals, guitars), Sean Reinert (drums, percussions), Tymon (guitars, growls) and Robin Zielhorst (live bass) were part of various festivals´ line-ups and had several appearances supporting DREAM THEATER. Accompanied by the German Rock band THE INTERSPHERE (formerly known as HESSLERS), CYNIC will perform four concerts on German territory within in the scope of the recent tour that will also lead them to Aschaffenburg on 2nd September 2009.
