There are not many acts mastering the balancing act between innovation that is stylistically confident and commercial success. The Norwegian duo RÖYKSOPP is one of those acts. On their previous albums ‘Melody A.M’ and ‘The Understanding’, they’re presenting their wide stylistic range between Ambient, Downbeat, House, Classical music, Pop and Avant-garde. At the same time, the both multi-instrumentalists Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland managed to hit international charts. Their debut sold more than 750.000 copies in its first week.
Following a break of 4 years, the duo released its new album ‘Junior’ in March 2009 and now the live dates have been announced, and on one of these dates, particularly on 2nd November 2009, they will flood the Essigfabrik in Cologne with a colourful bouquet of new and old songs. Don’t miss it!
