OPETH from Sweden is surely one of the most admired and respected bands of the Metal genre in the last two decades, and it is a status they have truly deserved and for which they’ve worked hard. In spring 2010 that band is going to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a little tour around the globe. Of course the band won’t present their audience any regular set on that special occasion. During each of the shows, the band will perform 2 separate sets. In the first set they’ll play nothing less than the entire ‘Blackwater Park’ album; they’ve had their breakthrough with. A treat for every fan and presumable a once in a lifetime event! The second set of the evening will be a colourful bouquet of songs out of the entire OPETH back catalogue.
All in all, the band’s going to play over 2 hours and only in exclusive clubs, so that an intimate and exclusive mood is created. Something like a “must-see” vibe. And you really should not miss out on this very special opportunity. The only show in Germany will be taking place at the country’s oldest, seated cinema: The Lichtburg in Essen!
