On the 11th of February, in SK “Olimpiyski” there a long-awaited concert of legendary British heavy metal band IRON MAIDEN within the support tour of their new album “The Final Frontier” will take place. Fans of the band will enjoy an unforgettable show in the best traditions of the classics of the world rock scene.

In August 2010, EMI released the band’s 15th studio album which immediately got top positions in the music charts and had become a bestseller in 28 countries. The length of the album is over 76 minutes that makes “The Final Frontier” the longest album in the history of IRON MAIDEN, breaking the record of the previous album entitled “A Matter of Life and Death”, the length of which is about 72 minutes. Taking into consideration, that the band’s first album came out 30 years ago, the musicians on the average released an album every 2 years. During the existence of the formation there were sold over 80 million disks that’s why IRON MAIDEN which exerted a great influence on the development of metal in general, can be treated as a real phenomenon in the world of rock.

The “Final Frontier World Tour” started in the US in June and created almost a commotion as concert tickets were bought up in no time. The tour went on in Europe, where the band played as a headliner at the famous festivals. The European part of the tour finished on the 21st of August in Spain, but already this year the tour will continue.

To the concert in Moscow all the musicians, the staff and the equipment will fly on the Boeing 757, which will be piloted by vocalist Bruce Dickinson. In 2008, IRON MAIDEN chartered an airplane and decorated it with a huge logo of the band. The latest DVD of the band “Flight 666”, which includes a show of the tour in 2008 and a documentary film about the concerts and flights on the Boeing 757 “Ed Force One”, came out in 2009 and became #1 in 25 countries.
