For more than one decade, AKANOID, originally founded as electronic based duo made their way and took their remarkable development from the state of an Underground-Dance-Act over to a song-orientated Electro Pop Act, releasing the „Cocktail Pop“ Album in 2007 followed by the next turn for stylistic autonomy with „Civil Demon“, heading even more into Alternative-Rock and Electronica mashed up soundscapes. After support tours for De/Vision in 2008 and the Crüxshadows in 2009 as well as relevant festival shows like „Advanced Electronics / Popkomm“ and WGT 2009, AKANOID took a break marked by closing the „Civil Demon“ chapter releasing the remix EP „Evo“ and returning to the original two headed line up in summer 2012.
Hilton Theissen and Uwe Lübbers recollect their abilities of creating strong intensive electronic music, take the next step with their brand new Single EP „You Never“ out on 28th of September 2012, containing 5 unreleased songs and remixes of the albums „Cocktail Pop“ and „Civil Demon“ done by themselves and several guest acts.
