The band, founded in 1988 around the charismatic singer Susan d’lavollo creates from the ingredients Goth Rock, Metal, and catchy melodies a hellish cocktail, independently from the mechanisms of music industry. The songs of the Italian-German trio are defined by an omnipresent, fascinating voice taking the listener on an emotional rollercoaster ride and addict them. With the 8th album ‘Nichts ist für immer’ (Nothing’s Forever) the band stayed true to themselves except for one thing: Most of the lyrics are performed in German.What began as a mere test turned out as the ultimate icing on the cake for the MOONCHILD sound! Sure English is the more melodious language but stark music with extreme stories needs a rough language and what would be more obvious than using the own. The band took a lot of time for the song writing. After the recordings had been already finished the band still was in two minds as to how the new album would be released until it was settled.
The new album wouldn’t be available in record stores, but exclusively as digital download. Still MOONCHILD can’t be pressed into one scheme and jump through hoops for no one. That’s why the medium internet seems as welcome platform for bands outside the mainstream as MOONCHILD were right from their beginning.
