POOLSTAR* - 4

The Berlin-based band live unleashes melodic, loud, party-committed punk rock with balls and catchiness alarm. That already happened on 300 shows and festivals between Kiel and St. Gallen i.e. as support for DIE ÄRZTE on their 2008 Jäzzfest open air tour on invitation of the band. Convinced by the live qualities of the four-pack, Rod Gonzalez insisted on producing their debut album, slated for an autumn release. The whole thing was mixed in April 2009 by Philsen Hoppen at his Transportraum studio in Brelin-Kreuzberg, where bands like the BEATSTEKS or SEED already put the finishing touches on their discs. As harbinger for ‘4’, the single ‘Something in your Eyes’ has already been released at the end of May.

They’ve also released two live albums thus far; created the shortest song ever for the European Championship in 2008, wrote the official hymn for IFMXF: Freestyle Moto Cross Show "Night of the Jumps" and the brought Pelle of THE HIVES to say "I wanna hear more of that RAMONA stuff" (Ramona, Come with Me, released as bonus track on DVD and film soundtrack to the cult movie ‘Video Kings’). “The band’s made their homework and, admittedly, they’re on par with the big ones.” (SKIPMAG, independent rockzine)
