Regina-based electro rockers the Rabid Whole are pleased to announce their first remix album, Autraumaton Remixed, will be out on Synthetic Sounds on February 8th, 2011. The new remix album will feature tracks from their debut album, Autraumaton, as reconfigured by artists such as Seb Komor [Komor Kommando, Icon of Coil], Kevvy Mental [Fake Shark- Real Zombie!], Assemblage 23, Left Spine Down, Angelspit, Virtual Terrorist, and Psykkle as well as the Rabid Whole's cover of Annie Lennox's "Love Song For a Vampire."The album also features three remixes by 16Volt, Mind.In.A.Box and XP8 that were previously released on the European edition of Autraumaton that was released on Danse Macabre Records at the end of 2009.
This will be the Rabid Whole's second album on Vancouver-based industrial specialists Synthetic Sounds, and it will be available in both CD and digital formats.
In other news, the Rabid Whole are revved up to work on a new studio album, tentatively scheduled for the summer of 2011. The band is excited about the new album, which will be mixed by Dave "Rave" Ogilvie [Skinny Puppy, NIN, Marilyn Manson, the Birthday Massacre] and which will see them honing their hooky synth-rock sound.
