Album Review

The American MATCHBOX TWENTY formed in 1995 and took several breaks along the way, recently they released their fourth studio album ‘North’ after a ten year wait following ‘More Than You Think You Are’. What is it like? A generic affair clutching at fads as a child afraid to grow up clutches its comfort blanket. Sure it’s pleasant and catchy in the sugary way, so it’s not a torture to listen to it as you’re in the other room doing anything else but listening to it. Mostly because you can bet it’s going to be played to death in boring radio stations that you’d keep on only to have a companion of noise. Even better, leave the house and go to a concert by someone more original and refreshing so the robbers think that you’re still there and they in their passing can enjoy the boring generic trash this band is even better, they might even be put off by the cheesy, crappy lyrics and leave your valuables alone.
