Album Review
I suppose you clicked the link out of curiosity. Maybe the catchy name of the band did it for you. You may have even noticed the rather interesting song titles. I can assure you the lyrics are above the expected level. Still, for the Russian ROT ON THE MARCH this is as far as it gets. The vocals are mediocre and forgettable and the music is generic, as a lower common denominator among the SISTERS OF MERCY and the FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM. To put it another way; if these bands were playing like that they would have remained unknown even for the connoisseurs of Gothic Rock. I suspect that for the labels the Russian market is like a goldmine worthy to be fully researched for the proper kind of a band. This one isn’t amongst them.
