Christian Lindell (guitar) from Portrait
PORTRAIT is a classic metal band formed in 2006. Sometimes bordering on the occult considering the atmosphere they create with their infernal music this band is somewhat unique at the Moment. The band had just released a new record, ‘Crossroads’, in April 2014. That said it was quite clear there would be questions I had to ask them and luckily I did get the chance to do so…

Timur Karakus (vocals) from Schöngeist
It’s always interesting to discover new music for yourself. I don’t even know how it happens, but accidentally you find something you’ve been looking for a long time and this is exactly how it was with SCHÖNGEIST whose music appeared to be like a breath of fresh air. It’s for me of course, without comparing or drawing parallels with other bands. And finally I’ve got a chance to talk about this music with Timur Karakus, the mastermind of the project. So after some traditional technical problems and a general talk we smoothly passed on to the discussion of SCHÖNGEIST, the band’s music and related notions. The whole thing is below, just read and enjoy!

Louis Manke (vocals) from Staubkind
At the end of April, STAUBKIND comes to Russia for the first time. And in the light of this event there appeared a good chance to ask Louis Manke, the mastermind of the project, some questions about his music, concerts, future plans and other things of the kind. I like STAUBKIND’s songs, the atmosphere they convey, but I was surprised to realize that I didn’t know much about the band. So the questions may be not too global but the interview turned out to be interesting. I really hope you’ll like it, too. Just read and enjoy!

Johan van Roy from Suicide Commando
Introducing SUICIDE COMMANDO? Not necessary, as Johan van Roy and his band is part of the electronic music scene for nearly 30 years. For those who still haven’t heard of SUICIDE COMMANDO: Mix interesting beats, interesting synthesizer arrangements with lyrics about failed relationships, the evil side of humanity or war and you have a song of the Belgian master mind Johan van Roy. Reflections of Darkness talked to Mr SUICIDE COMMANDO himself, Johan van Roy, about his upcoming show at Out of Line Weekender, Smurfs, bootlegging concerts and about love and relationships.
